The PCG of Toledo City of Refuge, is set upon Bible order
according to the Scripture; Ephesians 4:11-12
"And He gave some Apostles and some, Prophets; and some Evangelists; and
some Pastors, and Teachers; For the perfecting of the Saints, for the work of
the Ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."

the Ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
What will we do with the people that the evangelist brings in if there’s no one to father and mother them? What will the teachers have to build on if there have been no foundations laid first? How will the pastor keep his sheep stable and grounded if governmental authority has not yet been established?
(Ephesians 2:19-22)
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.”

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CITY OF REFUGE
Our Objective is to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom of God given to us by JESUS CHRIST. Being the expressed image of God on earth fulfilling the mandate to spread the Love of God throughout the Earth, starting with the Community in which we serve then abroad. Providing spiritual and natural aid to all that are in need, that the Will of God shall be done in earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 6:10).
To preach, counsel, edify, educate, pray, encourage, and to exemplify the Spirit of God in business as well as our Presbyterian duties.

OUR COVENANT
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour; and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins. We do now in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant of one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this Church, in Knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and Spirituality; to sustain its worship, Ordinances, discipline and doctrine; and to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor and the spreading of the Gospel throughout all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and sacred devotion; to religiously educate our children, to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances, to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements; and exemplary in our departments; to avoid tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; and to be zealous in the efforts to advance the Kingdom of our Saviour.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech, to be slow to offence, but always mindful of the rules of our Saviour, and always ready for reconciliation, to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage, that when we remove from this place, we will soon as possible unite with some other church, where we shall carry out the spirit of this covenant, and the principles of God's Word
